A Planner’s Perspective of Solidity Films

Today, we’re handing things over to Caitlin Kuchemba of Fulton Events, previously known as Clover Event Co, a boutique wedding planning company based in Philadelphia.

Caitlin has graciously agreed to give you her planner's perspective on what it's like to work with Solidity Films.

And I think it's important to get someone else's point of view. When you read our blog posts, you see things from behind our lens, from our filter. But we work with a multitude of other vendors on the wedding day.

And if you book Solidity, we’ll be working with yours, so it's important that you get an idea of what that might be like from their perspective.

A Wedding Planner's Perspective of Solidity Films

What's most important to me when working with a videographer is the client/videographer relationship. We want our couples to feel comfortable being filmed during their intimate wedding day moments.

As a planner, I always respect how much Tom wants to truly understand and learn the timeline, and he is always honest with bringing to my attention any additional time he feels he might need to ensure he can capture specific moments that might be laid out in the timeline.

He is not merely showing up to the wedding to capture whatever happens. He wants to understand how the day is unfolding, when the key moments are, and how he plans to cover everything in the best way for his couples.

I refer Solidity Films to my couples because Tom is not just a videographer. He's a filmmaker and, above all, a storyteller.

A videographer is there to capture the day as it unfolds.

But they are there to capture and tell your story.

It all starts with their approach to filmmaking and starting everything off with a rehearsal dinner or an adventure shoot - capturing the client authentically in their own setting doing something they love to do. Then, when it comes to the wedding day, they are always there, capturing all the key moments.

But what is even more important is all the small in-between moments they capture that truly tell the story. I always love watching his videos back and seeing what he saw through their cameras.

Solidity Films is the perfect mix of creativity and professionalism. And Tom is artistic, authentic, and joyful. His brand, his business approach, and his interactions with clients are all top-notch, but at the same time, he has a creative eye and a unique approach to video that allows them to stand out.

And what sets them apart is their hands-on approach to the process. They are communicating directly with clients before, during, and after the event. This approach is unlike most other videography companies we work with.

Tom and his team are also always dressed very professionally on wedding days, which is not something that all vendors follow. We appreciate that aspect of his business, too.

On the wedding day itself, they are often the quiet force moving behind the scenes - you wouldn't notice they’re there, but they are also in all the right places at all the right times. Our clients love how much they can keep in the background while still capturing all of their key moments.

The #1 thing I enjoy about working with them is his commitment to each wedding client and their wedding day. They are not in it to simply "do a job." They want to make sure every wedding they are filming, they put full commitment to it and capture it at a high level.

Sometimes couples are worried that having additional photo/video team members onsite will be overwhelming on the day. And they often prioritize photos over video as far as budget goes.

But we always assure them that Tom and his team stay as behind the scenes as possible and let them know that the quality of his work is worth the value of his services. Every one of our clients who has worked with Tom has loved the finished product.

So if you're considering hiring a wedding videographer, Solidity Films is a must-have! I always tell my clients that they will never regret not having a wedding film. But they will certainly regret not having one.

Don't let your authentic story slip through the cracks of time.
